HELP US SERVE
Family Kitchen:
An ecumenical organization which lessens hunger in the community,
serving dinner on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and a bag lunch
on Saturday. Just added, soup lunches on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, served at Grace First Lutheran Church. There are many ways to volunteer with this outreach to the greater community.
Condega
Project: An international Christian relief effort directly helping
the people of Condega, Nicaragua. Coffee grown by the Nueva Esperanza Coop in Condega and locally roasted by Strictly Organic Coffee Company is sold by the Condega Project. All profits are returned to the people of Condega through outreach projects identified annually during visits to the community by the committee.

Altar Guild:
Four teams rotate the responsibility for setting up for services.
Choir: Sings
at the 10 AM Eucharist 2 or 3 Sundays each month, except during
summer, with rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 PM.
St. Cecilia's
Choir: For children 1st grade and up. The choir sings at the
10 AM Eucharist the 3rd Sunday of each month, except during summer.
Ananda:
Provides the music for the 10 AM Eucharist on the 1st Sunday
of each month using contemporary music and instruments.
Acolytes:
For children 3rd grade and older who assist in the service as
crucifer, torchbearers, book person, or server.
Eucharistic Ministers & Lectors: Assist in the service by reading lessons, leading
prayers, passing the chalice during communion.
Ushers: Assist in the service by handing out bulletins and directing
people to their seats when necessary.

WITH US
Sunday School:
Meets each Sunday at 10 AM. Children 3 years through 4th grade meet
downstairs in the Sunday School Room and join their parents for
communion. Grades 5-8 meet in the library, Sr. High meets upstairs.
Sr. High Group also meets Sunday evenings for special activities.
Adult Education:
Meets at 9:10 AM every Sunday in Brooks Hall.
Education
for Ministry: A four-year mentored bible study

Pilgrim's
Potlucks: Small groups meet monthly for a potluck and fellowship.
New groups are formed at least twice a year.
Coffee Hour:
Each Sunday, in the crossing after the 8 AM service, and in Brooks
Hall after the 10 AM service. Coffee, tea, and goodies are served
by volunteers.
New Member
Ministry: Integrates interested new members into the life of
the church community. Includes Sunday greeters and home visitors.
Cursillo:
Part of the international Cursillo movement; the diocese holds Cursillo
weekends at the camp and conference center at Cove, OR, followed
by Ultreyas in Central Oregon.
Social Events:
St. Nicholas Dinner, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feed, Epiphany potluck
and other get-togethers. Contact person in charge of each event.

Interfaith
Volunteer Caregivers: Volunteers assist seniors and persons
with disabilities with shopping, yard work, etc. Training is provided.
Lay Eucharist
Visitors: Take communion to shut-ins and foster care homes.
Training is provided.
Trinity
Labyrinth Ministry: The labyrinth, an ancient tool for meditation,
can be seen as a metaphor for pilgrimage and as a symbol for a sacred
journey toward the divine. It gives one the opportunity to walk
the path of the labyrinth as a means to deeper reflection on ones
own spiritual journey. Every 3rd Sunday, the Labyrinth Ministry
Team offers a community walk in Brooks Hall from 3-6 PM. It is also
available to members of the congregation after the 10 AM service.
Contemplative
Prayer: Each Wednesday afternoon, from 4:30 PM-5:30 PM, in the
chapel. 20 minutes is spent in centering prayer, followed by reflection.
No experience in this prayer form is needed.
Prayer Partners:
Are available at the altar rail at the conclusion of each Sunday
service.
