Christian education is the lifelong process of growing in our relationship with God, self, others and all creation. Every experience in our lives can provide us with the opportunity to express our faith; the challenge we face is recognizing these opportunities and learning ways to live a sometimes countercultural life in a secular world.
Our parish strives to realize its goal to be a center for education, community and spiritu-al life. We dedicate time and energy to providing a variety of open and accepting learning opportunities so that we may explore and strengthen our faith.
Adult Forum: meets Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM, and includes opportunities for learning and conversation with Fr. Jed and other spiritual leaders.
Children’s Chapel: provides learning and activity time for young children during the 10:00 AM Sunday service.
Education for Ministry: provides a multiyear program of study and theological conversation led by lay mentors. Studies center on the Old and New Testaments, early church history and comparative theologies.
Sermon Reflections: small group discussions of the previous Sunday’s sermon — What did it mean? How do we live it?
Sojourners of Trust Women’s Group: Marianne Borg facilitates a women’s group fostering community and building trust through reading and reflecting together on spiritual journeys. This structured gathering makes use of listening guidelines and requires confidentiality.
Women’s Retreat: an annual three-day retreat, usually held in early spring, focused on women’s spiritual growth and exploration in an explicitly woman-centric environment.
